4. 1/15/2009 7:40:00 PM Keep focused on it's core.
5. 1/15/2009 7:40:00 PM Pick off other competitors selectively as it did for Starbucks. Probably Pizza or Donuts next
6. 1/15/2009 7:40:00 PM Must have much healthier menu items.

10. 1/15/2009 7:42:00 PM Stay engaged, stay relevant, listen to your customers.
11. 1/15/2009 7:42:00 PM depends upon what you mean by "succeed" they will continue to make money and "plump up" Americans who love their brand of manufactured foods
12. 1/15/2009 7:42:00 PM continue to come up with healthy food offerings
13. 1/15/2009 7:42:00 PM provide healthier options, improve Happy Meal promotions (my collecting of toys has plummeted!)
14. 1/15/2009 7:42:00 PM be cheap and relevant
15. 1/15/2009 7:43:00 PM introduce new items to the dollar menu even if just for a limited time - promotions like that get me in the door and i leave with more food than i was planning on
16. 1/15/2009 7:43:00 PM buy local
17. 1/15/2009 7:43:00 PM full disclosure of ingredients and nutritutional facts, ban on trans fats
18. 1/15/2009 7:43:00 PM think helathy life style smaller portions
19. 1/15/2009 7:43:00 PM Get parents of teens back... had them when the kids were young.
20. 1/15/2009 7:43:00 PM Continue to stay a clean, affordable, friendly place to visit.
21. 1/15/2009 7:44:00 PM continue the track. Train for better customer service, more healthy items on the menu.
22. 1/15/2009 7:44:00 PM Become more healthy in terms of the food they serve. They are synonomous with "childhood obesity" in this country.
23. 1/15/2009 7:45:00 PM Add healthier products and keep its stores spotless clean.
24. 1/15/2009 7:45:00 PM stress quality of food as added value
25. 1/15/2009 7:45:00 PM Stay simple. Focus on key target audiences - kids (and parents), travellers, those in a rush.
26. 1/15/2009 7:45:00 PM on one hand, nothing, they will succeed in spite of their actions. On the other, they need to focus on consistency in service levels, attitude of staff and cleanliness.
27. 1/15/2009 7:46:00 PM As with any business, they must continue to deliver what the market expects and wants.
28. 1/15/2009 7:46:00 PM Improving the quality of their food and lowering the grease quantity in their product would go a long way to improving the experience. I generally get the urge for McDonald's approximately once a month then regret eating it for the next week due to the gastro-intestinal distress the grease content causes.
29. 1/15/2009 7:46:00 PM Offer more variety.
30. 1/15/2009 7:47:00 PM Control the desire to upgrade--some is good but too much as torpedoed more than one firm
31. 1/15/2009 7:47:00 PM Prove themselves every day, every visit, every customer.
32. 1/15/2009 7:48:00 PM be more transparent in food sources and values; respect our planet
33. 1/15/2009 7:48:00 PM keep feeding over weight folks
34. 1/15/2009 7:49:00 PM Address consumers concerns about where food comes from. Buy local, sustainable and organic.
35. 1/15/2009 7:49:00 PM Provide healthier food options at a good value
36. 1/15/2009 7:49:00 PM Aim toward having healthier food options for children.
37. 1/15/2009 7:50:00 PM Break the stereotype that fast food is bad food
38. 1/15/2009 7:50:00 PM update their products really not pretend
39. 1/15/2009 7:51:00 PM I guess just keep on keepin' on. In a recession, cheap wins out over healthy.
40. 1/15/2009 7:51:00 PM New product, keep the brand out in the marketplace.
41. 1/15/2009 7:51:00 PM Don't care. I'm trying to support more locally owned and based restaurants.
42. 1/15/2009 7:51:00 PM Keep their menu changing with the trends. Without kids, I doubt I would go there so keeping "healthy" tasty options available is important.
43. 1/15/2009 7:52:00 PM keep enhancing healthy choices and advertise them more
44. 1/15/2009 7:52:00 PM Stick to basics. Their breakfast is not bad, but they should improve the quality of the meat.
45. 1/15/2009 7:52:00 PM Deliver sustainable and healthier options with the level of convenience we associate with their company.
46. 1/15/2009 7:52:00 PM MORE vegetarian options. Keep up the healthy route. More options besides soda for beverages, and not just bottled water and milk. Have people who speak English work the drive through window. I have had many a time where I couldn't complete my specialty order as a vegetarian because they couldn't understand.
47. 1/15/2009 7:53:00 PM Continue to improve customer service and provide more new menu items - more salads, soups, etc.
48. 1/15/2009 7:53:00 PM Stay true to the grassroots. Rely on local franchisees for "real" market information.
49. 1/15/2009 7:53:00 PM Stay in touch with changing consumer attitudes and develop offerings to satisfy those changes
50. 1/15/2009 7:54:00 PM Offer healthier choices.
51. 1/15/2009 7:56:00 PM Stay relevant to today's consumer
52. 1/15/2009 7:57:00 PM Adapt to changing tastes - smaller, quick portions, better quality food. Great coffee to challenge Starbucks.
53. 1/15/2009 7:57:00 PM Stop damaging people's health for profit.
54. 1/15/2009 7:58:00 PM Value and convenience + great new products
55. 1/15/2009 7:59:00 PM Not retain the status quo of their image and be ready to make necessary changes. Orgs can know they need a change but can't change for a variety of reasons. McD's are responsive to the need for change' they need to continue that.
56. 1/15/2009 8:00:00 PM Keep the quality of the food high, create new menu items that work for non-meat eaters and keep the stores clean and efficient. Don't change the fries.
57. 1/15/2009 8:01:00 PM more healthy food options.
58. 1/15/2009 8:01:00 PM stay competitive, update older stores, don't over build
59. 1/15/2009 8:02:00 PM Limit calories and fat; own up to nutrition and embrace that customers sometimes want to indulge
60. 1/15/2009 8:02:00 PM minimize expansion, we don't need any more. tyr and find a way to keep stadard product mix, but remove some of the fat and unnecessary calories.
61. 1/15/2009 8:03:00 PM keep the food and facility clean and consistent high quality. it's a safe bet!
62. 1/15/2009 8:04:00 PM Better quality food and better service.
63. 1/15/2009 8:05:00 PM Keep up their quality and perhaps improve on their health benefits.
64. 1/15/2009 8:05:00 PM The consumer needs to be grabbed in a personal way. Go where the customer go - marketing needs to inspire interest and action through an emotional relationship.
65. 1/15/2009 8:06:00 PM Continue to innovate for the right reasons- not for the sake of innovation.
66. 1/15/2009 8:07:00 PM Continue in the near-term to remain relevant to consumers' economic woes; longer-term keep on top of sustainability issues
67. 1/15/2009 8:08:00 PM Grow with their customers, be real about who they are
68. 1/15/2009 8:08:00 PM LOVE that McDonald's doesn't "force" the meal at you. (Wendy's automatically pushes you to ordering a meal when all you want is a sandwich!) LOVE that they don't push you into a larger size.
69. 1/15/2009 8:08:00 PM continue to increase the number of healthy choices. the "real" coffee drinks at better prices is excellent. WIFI is awesome.
70. 1/15/2009 8:08:00 PM Make good hamburgers with real beef.
71. 1/15/2009 8:10:00 PM Up quality, up service (which is the WORST!), and pay attention to FRESH FOODS. What a new concept for them!
72. 1/15/2009 8:10:00 PM operational efficiency
73. 1/15/2009 8:13:00 PM Bring back the Asian salad
74. 1/15/2009 8:15:00 PM keep offering low prices and exploring food options
75. 1/15/2009 8:16:00 PM produce cheap food that is tasty, while making it heathier
76. 1/15/2009 8:16:00 PM Healthier Healthier Healthier!!!!
77. 1/15/2009 8:17:00 PM offer tasty food at a good value
78. 1/15/2009 8:18:00 PM Must have a healthier menu...
79. 1/15/2009 8:20:00 PM Stay relevant and provide Quality food, fast in a clean and friendly enironment
80. 1/15/2009 8:21:00 PM Keep looking at the changes in market and target audience. Also, intorduction of some "ethnic" themed foods.
81. 1/15/2009 8:23:00 PM Continue to focus on improvement and not settle for the status quo
82. 1/15/2009 8:23:00 PM good question
83. 1/15/2009 8:25:00 PM keep the strategy and add innovation
84. 1/15/2009 8:26:00 PM Keep mixing in more healthy options; don't ever give up the ease of drive-thru--the food and drinks are portable for truly fast food.
85. 1/15/2009 8:26:00 PM keep improving customer service and quality control.
86. 1/15/2009 8:27:00 PM They need to imrove the menu towards healthier, all natural options. The green and organic trends are here to stay. People are becoming more and more educated about health issues and the importance of a healthy diet. Healthy menu at a reasonable price would be a big success.
87. 1/15/2009 8:27:00 PM If it's food is healthier it has to get the message out.
88. 1/15/2009 8:29:00 PM Continue to work on refining the menu to come up with new offerings. Expand on the store redesigns.
89. 1/15/2009 8:30:00 PM They have to continue to offer the 'unhealthy' alternative - that's their niche. They also have to focus on customer service.
90. 1/15/2009 8:33:00 PM healthier food, higher quality food
91. 1/15/2009 8:33:00 PM Improve food quality further
92. 1/15/2009 8:33:00 PM Continue to let people know it has changed/improved
93. 1/15/2009 8:34:00 PM Keep in touch with youth
94. 1/15/2009 8:34:00 PM Offer healthier food
95. 1/15/2009 8:36:00 PM Continue to test healthier food options
96. 1/15/2009 8:36:00 PM Revert to cleaner outlets. Make staff proud to work at Mickey D's, rather than seeing this as just a job.
97. 1/15/2009 8:38:00 PM More of the same, although there could come a backlash against the larger system, and if so they will suffer
98. 1/15/2009 8:38:00 PM keep its prices competitive. Economic factors will be the key competition sounding points, so McD must maintain developing new products while staying price conscious
99. 1/15/2009 8:39:00 PM Better its image thorugh quality of food and clean franchises.
100. 1/15/2009 8:40:00 PM Leverage their infrastructure to serve healthier foods ultra conveniently.
101. 1/15/2009 8:40:00 PM Anticipate trends
102. 1/15/2009 8:41:00 PM Better ads
103. 1/15/2009 8:44:00 PM Continuing offering healthy options to every kind of consumers
104. 1/15/2009 8:45:00 PM execution of the basics and look towards new food trends
105. 1/15/2009 8:45:00 PM Continue hooking in the kids. The parents, aunts, uncles, care-givers, etc will continue to follow.
106. 1/15/2009 8:55:00 PM Continue to improve quality and offer foods that you might find at a sandwich place like Panera
107. 1/15/2009 8:57:00 PM Stay with core products and continue to do what they do well.
108. 1/15/2009 8:58:00 PM Continue to improve the 'healthiness' and quality of their foods.
109. 1/15/2009 9:05:00 PM The EXCELLENT service
110. 1/15/2009 9:05:00 PM Provide lower fat food
111. 1/15/2009 9:06:00 PM keep up appearances
112. 1/15/2009 9:12:00 PM keep the dollar menu
113. 1/15/2009 9:15:00 PM Give me a reason to go back in there - I haven't been tempted to try it again. Associate McD's with fatty foods and bad service, neither of which are of interest to me.
114. 1/15/2009 9:16:00 PM stay the course...get healthier and better coffee...cheap coffee brings em in...
115. 1/15/2009 9:19:00 PM Introduce healthier solutions that can be sold at a price that is comparable to their staple items.
116. 1/15/2009 9:20:00 PM More healthful choices
117. 1/15/2009 9:21:00 PM I find Jill McDonald, CMO in Uk (Europe?) extremely impressive. She would make an excellent CEO.
118. 1/15/2009 9:29:00 PM employee training and quality of food service
119. 1/15/2009 9:33:00 PM Continue to bring healthy food options while maintaining their "greatest hits" (i.e. the things people associate with McDonald's...Big Macs, fries, etc.)
120. 1/15/2009 9:37:00 PM Make the best burgers at the best value. Period.
121. 1/15/2009 9:39:00 PM Stick with what it knows and not try to create too many, if any, new items outside the burger-and-fries menu. If I want a burrito or an eggroll, I'm not going to McDonald's.
122. 1/15/2009 9:40:00 PM Better nutrition at low prices.
123. 1/15/2009 9:43:00 PM Continue to offer value products. Strengthen the Dollar Menu offerings with more sandwich offerings, like the competitors are doing.
124. 1/15/2009 9:50:00 PM Be more responsible for what it is serving. McDonalds has the ability to change fast food to fast & healthy food
125. 1/15/2009 9:50:00 PM Continue to stay on top of eating trends. Be kind to people—they're your customers.
126. 1/15/2009 9:54:00 PM Stay ahead of the SuperSize talk, and fat food image. Lead the American people to believe that they have healthy alternatives.
127. 1/15/2009 9:54:00 PM Provide high quality of food at a reasonable price and excellent service.
128. 1/15/2009 9:57:00 PM Keep innovating.
129. 1/15/2009 9:59:00 PM more healthy options
130. 1/15/2009 10:00:00 PM Clean up all its restaurants, maybe become more of a place where I want to get out of my car and spend time.
131. 1/15/2009 10:14:00 PM Keep creating healthy menu options for a competitive price. I don't know if all the McCafe drinks are worth the price: half the reason I go to Starbucks for coffee is because I don't want to be around kids and families. As much as the Starbucks label makes a statement, so does the McD's coffee cup does as well. There's no need to make a statement that says, "I took my kids to breakfast at McDs and now I'm drinking my left over cup of joe."
132. 1/15/2009 10:14:00 PM keep up the good work to stay current with the market as it changes
133. 1/15/2009 10:14:00 PM social responsibility - responsible food
134. 1/15/2009 10:44:00 PM Continue to innovate while retaining the favorites that made them great.
135. 1/15/2009 10:44:00 PM keep doing what they're doing well now
136. 1/15/2009 10:47:00 PM Higher quality food and more unique offerings. Wendy's was able to take so much market share from McDonald's because of those two things.
137. 1/15/2009 10:51:00 PM Q,S, C and V. The basics done brilliantly.
138. 1/15/2009 10:58:00 PM Ask consumers what they want and try to deliver it (in a way that works with their system) rather than assume to know what they want.
139. 1/15/2009 11:11:00 PM Keep up the cleanliness, the healthful options and the use of healthful cooking materials. Keep them emphasized and actual. When Wendy;s first came on the scene, the Frosty and the 'fresh' burgers and a few other items excited people because they were really new and really good. McD's has done this with new items, infusing public interest with the wish to try them on an ongoing basis, paralleling what was influencing the marketplace outside.
140. 1/15/2009 11:13:00 PM work on consistency of staffing
141. 1/15/2009 11:19:00 PM Continue to be healthier, consistent and transparent it would be nice if they offered 24hr breakfast too
142. 1/15/2009 11:27:00 PM be everywhere and always open; have consistent products & steady stream of new products for interest. Still would really like a premium / better / healthier burger.
143. 1/15/2009 11:31:00 PM No opinion
144. 1/15/2009 11:44:00 PM sell more healthy fast food
145. 1/15/2009 11:44:00 PM keep re-inventing.
146. 1/16/2009 12:13:00 AM More of same
147. 1/16/2009 12:18:00 AM Do it without me.
148. 1/16/2009 12:24:00 AM Better customer service overall
149. 1/16/2009 12:48:00 AM Lower the fat content of their food.
150. 1/16/2009 1:15:00 AM Innovate radically. Best way to save the company is to incorporate an holding company, and buy up other hospitality/food brands, because the fast food bad food business in the long run is doomed
151. 1/16/2009 1:49:00 AM Stress health and price.
152. 1/16/2009 2:51:00 AM Change the attitude and personality of their employees. Poor customer relations is the reason why I just go when I have to. When you have employees mouthing about their landlord, live-in, the baby sitter, or whatever; do you really want to be served food by that person. Also, your food is often being handled by a person who just came off a smoke break. UUgggg. Some clerks are over weight, a few are obese to the max.
153. 1/16/2009 3:08:00 AM cater to people that need cheap food, but focus on nutrition and taste.
154. 1/16/2009 3:17:00 AM value menu, snack-time offerings, better-for-you fast food offerings
155. 1/16/2009 3:45:00 AM Continue to lead vs follow. Improve customer service.
156. 1/16/2009 4:30:00 AM Change their food---offer more than chemicals and a pre-pared product disguised as food.
157. 1/16/2009 5:40:00 AM start promoting Hygiene issues, like handwashing
158. 1/16/2009 9:01:00 AM More vegetarian options
159. 1/16/2009 9:37:00 AM I believe there needs to be an increased focus on the quality of the McDonald's product. A positive step has been the Angus burger, but the way it is cooked made it seem like little more than a thicker version of any other burger. The texture and greasiness are still no match for a hand-made and grilled burger ... but I realize this type of burger takes more time and McDonald's is about mass production, not the custom burger business.
160. 1/16/2009 9:59:00 AM Improve the taste of their burgers
161. 1/16/2009 12:43:00 PM Be a good corporate citizen
162. 1/16/2009 1:39:00 PM Make eating there a healthy experirence. Otherwise the more successful they are the more unhealthy nations become. Statistics are very disturbing in the lower class populations. It is cheaper to eat at McDonalds than healthy food at home.
163. 1/16/2009 1:46:00 PM Provide consistency in taste, quality and customer service across all locations, whether urban, suburban or across geography.
164. 1/16/2009 1:58:00 PM continue to evolve with the culture, society, and i think they have to date.
165. 1/16/2009 2:12:00 PM Improve service. I am always missing something everytime through the drive-thru.
166. 1/16/2009 2:28:00 PM 1. Understanding their customers is a fluid process. 2. Pick a strategy and stick with it.
167. 1/16/2009 3:14:00 PM keep up the quality, serve food hot, improve personality of counter help
168. 1/16/2009 3:26:00 PM Keep same high standards, improve service by training employees better
169. 1/16/2009 3:44:00 PM Have food Mom's like
170. 1/16/2009 3:53:00 PM continue to evolve with client needs while staying true to what it does best
171. 1/16/2009 3:59:00 PM Continue to add new food selections. Their fish sandwich is suberb. I have never eaten a McDonald's hamburger, of any type - just happened by accident. But eat their chicken, fish, salads, fries, and love their pancake sandwish breakfast item.
172. 1/16/2009 4:10:00 PM Continue to offer healthier options, as well as changing how their staples are offered. ie getting rid of trans fats in all foods.
173. 1/16/2009 4:15:00 PM keep working on new products and improving products - and working on being connected to audiences in every age group
174. 1/16/2009 4:17:00 PM Improve quality and healthiness of menu, keep stores clean and customer service pleasant
175. 1/16/2009 4:37:00 PM Continue to remove useless calories and pay attention to cleanliness, good service, etc.
176. 1/16/2009 5:19:00 PM continue to become good food fast instead of fast food
177. 1/16/2009 5:38:00 PM continue healthy options
178. 1/16/2009 5:39:00 PM Introduce the BBQ Pork sandwich as a regular meal.
179. 1/16/2009 6:11:00 PM Provide a special or custom order option; Serve beer
180. 1/16/2009 6:46:00 PM Reach out to more niche food needs -- gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. I am a vegetarian but dine with friends and family who are not. We all need options. My sister is allergic to wheat so she needs safe options as well.
181. 1/16/2009 7:51:00 PM Maintain Value/Continue to improve and innovate food quality
182. 1/16/2009 7:59:00 PM stay healthy -- promote sustainability esp. with younger audience
183. 1/16/2009 8:34:00 PM Continue to make improvements in their food. Not offend other people.
184. 1/16/2009 8:45:00 PM Continue to deliver on price/value and a selection of healthy items (as well as not necessarily healthy)
185. 1/16/2009 9:01:00 PM Use fresher healthier ingredients and serve less processed food
186. 1/16/2009 9:01:00 PM introduce new products that capitalize on consumer trends and offer them at a significantly lower price point than others
187. 1/16/2009 9:10:00 PM keep prices low and hope the economy stays in the toilet.
188. 1/16/2009 9:11:00 PM Better food
189. 1/16/2009 9:19:00 PM continue to listen to and respond to its customers.
